Dramatic Changes offers drywall repair services as a part of all of our painting projects (when necessary). Drywall damage comes in all shapes and sizes. It can happen in many different ways, which can require different approaches for repair. For the purposes of our clients, we put them in three different categories. We do this because it can mean that your project scheduling is handled in a completely different way.
First, let’s discuss some minor types of drywall damage. Walls can; be gouged by furniture, have holes from picture hangings, develop cracks due to settling, develop nail pops, become damaged at the hand of children and more. Although the approach to correcting these problems may vary, most of these drywall repairs can be repaired with minimal effort. Most of them would be completed by your painting crew at the time that we arrive to paint. The pricing for these types of repairs is typically quoted at a fixed price and included in all of our proposals.
Second more extensive drywall damage can be a result of water damage, severe settlement problems, drywall tape failures, children and more. These repairs are quoted at a fixed price, but the repair process is typically lengthier and will probably start before the arrival of a full painting crew.
The last and most severe type of drywall damage can result from major settlement problems and from wallpaper removal. As an example, the picture at the right shows how wallpaper removal can completely destroy a wall (the top layer of the sheetrock is gone). Most of these types or repairs require more planning and coordination to complete correctly. To complete these repairs, we will need to schedule time for completion of the drywall before the painting starts (two or three visits). With more extensive repairs we bring in a professional drywall contractor to handle these repairs. We would either bill by the hour or get a more specific price by having our drywall contractor visit your home and reviewing the damaged areas.
Either way, whether it is our painting crew or our drywall contractor, Dramatic Changes can take care of your repair needs.
