Environmental Impact

We’re not only committed to beautifying your home, we’re also committed to your health and well-being and that of our environment.  Our industry’s largest environmental impact is on air quality.  To combat this, we have taken steps to supply healthier paints and natural earth plasters to our clients.  There are alternatives to all our “standard products” like:  interior paints, interior and exterior primers, caulks, interior stains, exterior paints, exterior decking stains, exterior house stains and more.  Some of these products have been around for years, while others are being developed as we speak due increased demand for alternative products.  This is great, but we do not believe that simply offering a less toxic paint option is enough.  For more information on products click here.

What we mean is that we do more than just use less toxic paints.  We now impact the environment in various other ways like

• recycling more paper
  • office use
  • boxes that paint cans come in
• recycling more plastic
  • plastic sheeting for protection of personal property
• handling paint disposal differently
• reusing materials where possible
• buying Carbon offsets to reduce the impact of our vehicle emissions (for more info, see (see www.terrapass.com)
• decreased our need for solvents (i.e. paint thinner)
• buying locally when possible
• buying products that are made from recycled materials or from sustainable sources
