Ease/Difficulty of Removal

The ease or difficulty of removing wallpaper is typically a significant unknown when attempting to undertake such a project. Sometimes the paper was applied to bare drywall and can significantly damage the drywall during removal and sometimes it comes off easily if the wall was primed properly. There are a lot of unknowns when pricing out such a project and because of this, we cannot provide you with an exact price for your project. We bill by the hour for the removal portion of the project, however we will give you a best guess estimate on the hours it may take.

Chemical vs. Oil

Some will attempt to use chemicals to remove wallpaper, but we will use only water or steam (with no chemicals).  This leaves you with no harmful chemicals in your home and no foul odors when we leave. 

Work flow

Painting projects involving wallpaper removal obviously have a different schedule than just coming in and painting the walls. The typical schedule includes a day (or more for paper removal), review of the wall condition, priming, drywall repair and then finally painting the finish coats. Therefore it is best to expect such a project to take a bit longer to complete.
